Abstract Objective：To screen the obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome（OSAHS） by using transcranial doppler（TCD） and color doppler flow imaging（CDFI），study whether OSAHS is an independent risk factor of stroke.Method：304 OSAHS patients within certain age limits who had been excluded of other known risk factors were given
TCD and CDFI examination，compared the results of 304 normal control persons，regarded carotid artery and cerebral artery lesions as positive results.Result：Among the OSAHS patients，the positive detection rate using TCD combined with CDFI were significantly higher than the normal control group，the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）.Conclusion：The carotid artery and cerebral artery disease among OSAHS patients are significantly higher than than the normal control group，which indicates OSAS as an independent risk factor for stroke.
