The Impact of Abnormal Glucose Metabolism During Pregnancy on Newborn |

Abstract Objective:To analyze the impact of abnormal glucose metabolism during pregnancy on the newborn. Method: 92 patients with abnormal glucose metabolism during pregnancy were selected from January 2013 to January 2014 in our hospital, including gestational diabetes iabetes mellitus( GDM) group of 46 cases, gestational impaired glucose tolerance( GIGT) group of 46 cases,46 cases of normal glucose metabolism in the same period as the control group,the impact of abnormal glucose metabolism during pregnancy on the newborn were analyzed.Result:GDM group and GIGT group patients’ BMI ≥ 24 kg/m2,adverse pregnancy history, family history of diabetes and other risk factors were significantly higher, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).GDM group and GIGT group patients’neonatal asphyxia, great children, hyperbilirubinemia,and premature children were significantly higher incidence of complications than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Abnormal
glucose metabolism has adverse effects during pregnancy on neonatal,clinical management must be strengthened in order to reduce neonatal morbidity.
