The Clinical Analysis of 9654 Cases of Congenital Hypothyroidism and Phenylketonuria Neonatal Screening |

Abstract Objective:To summarize the neonatal congenital hypothyroidism( CH) and phenylketonuria( PKU)incidence and clinical experience.Method:9654 cases of hospitalized neonates with CH and PKU in our hospital were selected from January 2013 to July 2014.CH was tested by time-resolved immunofluorescence assay,PKU was tested by Guthrie bacteria inhibitory test.Result:Totally screening 9654 cases of neonates, 9 neonates were classified as definite CH, the incidence was 0.932‰, and 2 neonates as definite PKU, the incidence was 0.207‰ .Conclusion:It is necessary to understand the pathogenesis of CH and PKU, and the NICU children are the high-risk group.The birth population quality can effectively improved by neonatal screening,early detection and diagnosis.
