Abstract Exhaled breath condensate（ EBC） is a new method for the detection of respiratory system diseases.Detecting real-time biomarkers in EBC evaluates acute and chronic airway inflammation and oxidative stress level.Since the EBC has non-invasive， real-time monitoring， simple， repeatable advantages， it can be used as diagnosis of lung disease， severity assessment， evaluation of drug efficacy and prognostic marker，and has good application prospects. EBC has extensive application in COPD， asthma， lung cancer and interstitial lung disease.In this paper， we review the advances of EBC in COPD， asthma， lung cancer and interstitial lung disease.
