Abstract Objective:To analyze the effect of PDCA cycle management method applied in antimicrobial drug management.Method:PDCA cycle management method had been applied in our hospital since January 2014.Two groups of patients were selected from our hospital as research subjects,88 cases in each group, one group was from the hospital before the implementation of PDCA cycle management(January 2013 to December 2013) and the other was from the hospital after the implementation of PDCA cycle management(January 2014 to December 2014),the differences of related indicators of antimicrobial management before and after PDCA cycle management implementation were compared.Result:The use rate of antibiotics in inpatient and type I incision , the total cost of the drug and the per capita cost of antibiotics after the implementation of the PDCA cycle management was significantly lower than before the implementation of the PDCA cycle management, the difference had significantly difference(P<0.05).In the submission rate of antimicrobial agents pathogenic microorganisms, the group after the implementation of PDCA cycle management was higher than the group before the implementation of PDCA cycle management, the difference had significantly difference(P<0.05).Conclusion:In the special management practices of antibacterial drugs,PDCA cycle management method can significantly reduce the use rate of antibiotics in inpatient , the use rate of antibiotics in type Ⅰ incision, the total cost of the drug and the money used in per capita antibiotics. It can also enhance the submission rate of antimicrobial agents pathogenic microorganisms,so it is an effective antimicrobial management mode.
