Abstract Objective:To evaluate the curative effect and safety of paroxetine with cognitive behavior therapy. Method:60 obsessive-compulsive disorder patients with Yale-Brown obsessive-sive-compulisive scale( Y-Bocs) score ≥16 were randomly divided into study group( treated with paroxetine and cognitive behavior therapy for 5 months) and control group (treated with paroxetine for 5 months),clinical effect was assessed with Yale-Brown obsessive-compulisive scale( Y-Bocs)and treatment emergent symptom scale( TESS),month 1,2,3,4 and 5.Result:Compared with the control group,the study group showed more Y-Bocs score decrease,although both groups Y-Bocs score decreased after treatment.The side effects of the two groups were fewer and lighter. Conclusion:Paroxetine with cognitive behavior therapy demonstrates more treatment effects than paroxetine only for patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder( OCD).
