Abstract Objective:To research the effect of regular withdrawal of Compound Betamethasone in treating keloid by intralesional injection.Method:A total of 156 patients with keloid in our hospital from January 2007 to December 2014 were selected and randomly divided into two groups. There were 81 cases in the experimental group(group A) and 75 cases in the control group(group B).Compound Betamethasone was injected into the keloid lesions of the patients in group A and the drug concentration was gradually decreased in the treatment, while the drug was withdrawn routinely in group B.The therapeutic effect and recurrence rate were compared between the two groups.Result:One month and six months after the treatment, the effect of the two groups had no statistical difference(P>0.01).The recurrence rate of group A was lower than that of group B,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion:Regular withdrawal of Compound Betamethasone can reduce the recurrence rate in the treatment of keloid.
