Abstract Objective: To investigate the value of dual-energy CT angiography( CTA) in the diagnosis of intracranial aneurysms. Method: A retrospective analysis was studied about the clinical manifestations of 50 cases of intracranial aneurysms and dual-energy CTA signs, including the volume rendering( VRT), the maximum intensity projection( MIP). Result: 34 aneurysms were detected out of 50 patients, including 1 anterior cerebral artery aneurysm,9 anterior communicating artery aneurysms, 10 posterior communicating artery aneurysms, 4 intracranial internal carotid artery aneurysms, 9 middle cerebral artery aneurysms, and 9 basilar artery aneurysms. The maximum diameter of the aneurysm was 15 mm. DSA detected 35 ones, and CTA missed an anterior communicating artery aneurysm. Conclusion: Dual energy CTA is a safe, non-invasive, fast imaging method, which can be used as the preferred screening method.
