Effect of Ultrapure Dialysis on the Micro Inflammatory Mediators in Maintenance Hemodialysis Patients |

Abstract Objective:To investigate the effect of ultrapure dialysis on the levels of serum monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1),interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) and advanced glycation end products(AGEs) in maintenance hemodialysis patients.Method:The data of 120 patients with ESRD who had a need of maintenance hemodialysis in hemodialysis center of our nephrology department from December 2013 to December 2014 were divided into the study group and the control group according to the random number table method,60 cases in each group.The control group was given maintenance conventional hemodialysis treatment,three times a week,the study group was given ultrapure dialysis method,the dialysate was replaced by sodium bicarbonate dialysate for Bibag online powder.The other treatment methods were the same as the control group,the treatment duration was 3 months.Before and after treatment,the morning fasting blood was 6 mL,the level changes of serum MCP-1,IL-6,TNF-α and AGEs were compared between the two groups.Result:Before treatment,there were no statistically significant differences in glycosylated hemoglobin( HbA1c) and mean arterial pressure(MAP) between the two groups(P>0.05).Before treatment,there were no statistically significant differences on the levels of serum MCP-1,IL-6,TNF-α,AGEs,serum albumin and hemoglobin in the two groups(P>0.05).After treatment,when the study group compared with the control group,the levels of serum MCP-1[(45.89±9.36) vs( 94.36±13.95)pg/mL,t=3.542],IL-6[(35.98±8.16) vs( 71.36±10.28)pg/mL,t=3.041],AGEs[(13.69±5.03) vs( 31.76±4.69)AU/mg,t=2.937],TNF-α[(48.36±6.95) vs( 82.36±10.62)ng/L,t=3.094] were significantly decreased,the serum albumin and hemoglobin were significantly increased,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:Ultrapure dialysis can obviously decrease the levels of serum monocyte chemoattractant protein-1,interleukin-6,tumor necrosis factor-α and advanced glycation end products in the maintenance hemodialysis patients and reduce the body micro inflammation state,is worthy of clinical promotion.
