Influence of Intra-articular Injection of Sodium Hyaluronate by Two Point Puncture for Survival Status and Functional Recovery of Patients with Knee Osteoarthritis |

Abstract Objective: To investigate and compare the influence of intra-articular injection of Sodium Hyaluronate by two point puncture for survival status and functional recovery of patients with knee osteoarthritis. Method: A total of 120 patients with knee osteoarthritis admitted to the Orthopaedic Surgery Clinic of Wuzhou Red Cross Hospital from July 2020 to June 2021 were divided into control group (60 cases) and observation group (60 cases) according to random number table method. Both groups were treated with intra-articular injection of Sodium Hyaluronate. Four-point puncture method was used in the control group, and two-point puncture method was used in the observation group. The time of pain relief, duration of treatment effect, WOMAC scale scores, visual analogue scale (VAS) scores and WHOQOL-BREF scores before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Result: The time of pain relief of observation group was shorter than that of control group, the duration of treatment effect was longer than that of control group,the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05), the WOMAC scale scores, VAS scores and WHOQOL-BREF scores of two groups before the treatment were compared, the differences were not statistically significant (P>0.05). WOMAC scale scores, VAS scores and WHOQOL-BREF scores of the observation group were better than those of the control group at 3, 6 and 12 months after treatment, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: Two point puncture injection of Sodium Hyaluronate in joint cavity has a relatively good effect on the survival state and functional recovery of patients with knee osteoarthritis, which is more suitable for the treatment of patients with knee osteoarthritis.
