Abstract Objective: To explore the effect of Weisu Granules on inflammatory factors and gastric mucosal protective function in elderly patients with chronic gastritis. Method: A total of 200 elderly patients with chronic gastritis who were admitted to the Meishan Branch of Nan'an General hospital from February 2019 to February 2021 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into a research group and a control group according to the random number table method, with 100 cases in each group. The control group was given routine triple therapy, and the research group was given Weisu Granules on the basis of the control group. The indexes of inflammatory factors, gastric mucosal protective function and clinical efficacy were observed and compared between the two groups. Result: Before treatment, there were no significant differences between the two groups in the indexes of inflammatory factors and gastric mucosal protective function (P>0.05). After treatment, the indexes of inflammatory factors and gastric mucosal protective function in the research group were better than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The total effective rate of the research group was 94.00%, which was higher than 72.00% of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: The treatment of elderly chronic gastritis with Weisu Granules can effectively improve the inflammatory state of patients, improve the gastric mucosal protective function and clinical efficacy, which is one of the ideal schemes in clinical treatment practice.
