Abstract Objective: To investigate the clinical effect of colonoscopic cold loop resection in microscopic polyps of the colon. Method: A total of 122 patients with microscopic colon polyps treated in Xuzhou Tongshan District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2019 to January 2022 were selected, they were divided into observation group (n=61) and control group (n=61) by applying the random number table method. The control group received high-frequency electrocoagulation resection under colonoscopy and the observation group received colonoscopic cold loop resection. The procedure-related indexes (operation time, treatment cost), serum pain factor level and complication rate of the two groups were compared. Result: The operation time of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group, and the treatment cost was lower, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Before surgery, there were no significant differences in the levels of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) and nerve growth factor (NGF) between the two groups (P>0.05); 1 day after surgery, NGF and PGE2 in both groups were higher than those before surgery, but those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The complication rate of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: The operation of colonoscopic cold loop resection in microscopic colon polyps is simple, with clear efficacy and high safety.
