Abstract Objective: To explore the clinical application value of TCM nursing intervention based on 4C theory in patients with stroke. Method: A total of 96 patients with stroke who were admitted to Shenzhen Baoan District Central Hospital from August 2019 to August 2021 were selected as the research subjects. The patients were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 48 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group was given TCM characteristic nursing intervention based on 4C theory. The symptom scores, limb function, neurological function, daily living ability and stroke recovery of the two groups were observed. Result: There were no significant differences in the scores of fatigue, hemiplegia, numbness and unsteady walking between the two groups before nursing (P>0.05). 6 months after discharge, the scores of fatigue, hemiplegia, numbness and unsteady walking in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Before nursing, there were no significant differences between the two groups in Fugl-Meyer motor function assessment (FMA), national institute of health stroke scale (NIHSS) and modified Barthel index (MBI) (P>0.05). 6 months after discharge, the scores of FMA and MBI in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the score of NIHSS was lower than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The excellent and good rate in the observation group was 91.30%, which was significantly higher than 58.70% in the control group, and the distribution of stroke recovery in the observation group was better than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: TCM characteristic nursing intervention based on 4C theory can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of patients with stroke, promote the recovery of limb function and nerve function, and improve the living ability of patients.
