Abstract In recent years, with the deepening of lipid-lowering therapy research, the level of lipoprotein A [Lp(a)] has become increasingly important in the cardiovascular field. The increased level of Lp (a) is an independent risk factor for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. This article mainly reviews the research progress of Lp(a) in acute myocardial infarction from its structure and anabolism, main pathogenic mechanisms, and current treatment progress.
