Abstract Objective: The aim of this project was to investigate the mechanism of the Shengji Yuyang Ointment topical treatment of pressure ulcers by means of network pharmacology. Method: Using modern Chinese medicine theories and techniques, DisGeNET, GeneCards, and Human Mendelian gene editing techniques were used to investigate the possible pharmacological bases and targets of the Chinese medicine. Cytoscape 3.9.1 software was used to establish the pharmacodynamic relationship of "pharmacodynamic-component-target-lesion", STRING database was used to establish the effect relationship of "target protein-effect relationship", and DAVID data was used to enrich the signal pathways of "pharmacodynamic relationship". Result: By network topology analysis, Lignan (MOL000006), Poisonous Lentil Hypocretin (MOL013287), Kaempferol (MOL000422), Quercetin (MOL000098), and Baicalein (MOL002714), Wogonin (MOL000173) were the main active ingredients of the Shengji Yuyang Ointment to intervene in pressure ulcers. The topical application of Shengji Yuyang Ointment may interfere with pressure ulcers by regulating PTGS1, PTGS2, SCN5A, AR and other genes and mediating AGE-RAGE signaling pathway in diabetic complications, atherosclerotic pathway and cancer pathway. Conclusion: Shengji Yuyang Ointment can promote the healing of pressure ulcer wounds by modulating multiple targets and pathways, such as anti-inflammation, antioxidation and promotion of vascular renewal.
