Abstract Femoral neck fracture is a common hip fractures，with the development of population aging the incidence of the femoral neck fracture becomes more and more higher.At present，surgery is the main treatment and the method is evolving.To conduct the surgical approach according to the fracture type，age，physical condition，skeleton quality.The internal fixation was performed in young with femoral neck fractures and joint replacement was performed in aged man.Here，the evolution of femoral neck fracture surgery methods，the advantages and disadvantages in surgical treatment and operation indications are reviewed.
