Abstract Objective：To explore the clinical effect of lumbar anterior secondary resection，titanium cage implantation combined with plate fixation for the treatment of thoracic lumbar spinal bursting fracture and spinal stenosis.Method：50 cases of patients in our hospital from January 2011 to August 2014 were collected， randomly and blindly divided them into observation group and control group ，25 cases in each group，the observation group was given lumbar
anterior secondary resection， titanium cage implantation combined with plate fixation for the treatment and the control group was given lumbar anterior secondary resection combined with plate fixation for the treatment，the surgery situations of the two groups as well as the nerve function recovery situation after operation were observed.Result：The nerve function of the observation group before the operation and out of the hospital was obviously better than the control group after surgery， the difference was statistically significant（ 字2=8.33，P<0.05）.The total efficiency was 96.00% obviously better than the control group 76.00%， the difference was statistically significant（ 字2=4.15，P<0.05）.The surgery time，postoperative blood loss，bed stayed time，and hospital stayed time were contrasted，there was no statistical significance （P>0.05）.Conclusion：Lumbar anterior secondary resection， titanium cage implantation combined with plate fixation for the treatment of thoracic lumbar spinal bursting fracture and spinal stenosis have affirmed effect after operation as well as the nerve function recovery situation after operation.
