Abstract Objective：Through the analysis of plasma EBV-DNA quantification in advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma（ NPC） in different stages， further confirmed that plasma EBV-DNA quantification in diagnosis and staging of nasopharyngeal carcinoma， and the clinical significance.Method：Using real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction assay in 60 patients with advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma peripheral plasma EBV-DNA level.Result：Ⅲ， Ⅳa， Ⅳb NPC EBV-DNA positive rate was 100%； the median copy number was 6.00×103 copies/mL in Ⅲ stage； the median copy number was 15.15×103 copies/mL in Ⅳa stage； the median copy number was 43.60×103 copies/mL in Ⅳb+Ⅳc stage. Conclusion：There are obvious differences in different patients with newly diagnosed advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma staging of nasopharyngeal carcinoma in peripheral plasma EBV-DNA level.
