| Therapeutic Effect of Naoxintong Capsule Combined with Atorvastatin on Carotid Artery Atherosclerosis Plaque |

Abstract Objective：To observe the clinical curative effect of Naoxintong capsule combined with atorvastatin calcium in the treatment of carotid atherosclerotic plaque.Method：300 patients with carotid atherosclerotic plaques，were randomly divided into two groups：group A was given Naoxintong capsule 4 grain， 3 times /d， Atorvastatin Calcium Tablets 20 mg， 1 times/d.Group B was given Atorvastatin Calcium Tablets 20 mg， 1 times/d， period of treatment 12 weeks. Before and after the treatment of carotid artery intima-media thickness（ IMT）， patch area， total plaque score， serum lipid and C reactive protein（ CRP）were compared.Result：After 12 weeks treatment， compared the IMT of carotid artery，the total area and plaque score， blood lipid level， the level of serum CRP in patients of the group A were lower than those of the group B， the difference was statistically significant（ P<0.05）.Conclusion：Naoxintong capsule combined with atorvastatin calcium has better anti atherosclerotic plaque， reversal， lipid-lowering effect.It is worthy of clinical promotion.
