Abstract Objective：To explore the effect of centralized sterile supply mode for common items（e.g wet bottle，treatment plate， tourniquet）in preventing hospital infection，and to provide scientific guidance for improving the quality of management.Method：Hospital infection status in January to June 2014（ taken medical supplies common centralized sterile supply mode，marked as experiment group）and July to December 2013（not token medical supplies common centralized sterile supply mode，marked as control group） were retrospective analysis ，and cleaning pass rate and cost-effective cleaning differences before and after used centralized sterile supply mode were compared and analyzed. Result：The pass rate of commonly used items cleaned of control group was 94.2%， experiment group was 100%，the difference was statistically significant（ P<0.05）.The medical supplies costing of control group was（ 22.0±2.0） thousands RMB， experiment group was（ 15.0±1.0）thousands RMB， the difference was statistical significance（ P<0.05）. Conclusion：Centralized sterile supply mode for common items can effectively prevent hospital infection rates， can improve medical quality， can reduce the amount of the spread of contamination， can reduce medical supplies costing，so it is worth to promote in hospital.
