Abstract Objective: To analysze the microscopic surgery prognosis of olfactory groove meningioma .Method:60 patients with olfactory groove meningioma were randomly selected in our hospital from May 2012 to May 2014 as the research object, the microscopic surgical treatment outcomes for all patients were compared, before and after treatment in patients with clinical symptoms and characteristics of the change were observed.Result:In this study, the 60 patients postoperative intracranial pressure had no obvious change or appear/increase proportion was 0,compared with before treatment, had significant differences, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Visual impairment with postoperative had no obvious change of patients the proportion was 10.00%, compared with before treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The proportion of patients with epilepsy had no obvious change was 1.67%, compared with before treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Postoperative mental disorders appear/increase the proportion was 3.33%, compared with before treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Postoperative smell disorders had no obvious change the proportion was 18.33%,compared with before treatment the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: In the olfactory groove meningioma treatment, micro surgical treatment prognosis can significantly improve the patient’s symptoms, can significantly improve the patient’s intracranial pressure, visual impairment and epilepsy, lower incidence of postoperative complications, and has better effect on clinical outcomes,so in the treatment of the olfactory groove meningioma has important significance.
