Abstract Objective：To observe the curative effect of surgical incision combined with percutaneous dilation tracheotomy in difficult tracheotomy patients. Method：Using a case-control method， 48 patients with surgical incision combined with percutaneous dilation tracheotomy and 46 patients with conventional tracheotomy were selected as the research object.They were conducted with difficult tracheotomy in our hospital from October 2008 to September 2014.The advantages and application technology of the surgical incision combined with percutaneous dilation tracheotomy were summed up. Result： Compared with conventional tracheotomy， surgical tracheotomy incision combined with percutaneous dilation tracheotomy surgery can shorten the operation time and reduce surgical risk ，the difficulty of surgery， blood loss and complications. The differences had statistical significant（P<0.05）. Conclusion： Surgical tracheotomy incision combined with percutaneous dilation tracheotomy surgery is more effective，safe and simple，it can be performed in difficult tracheotomy patients.
