Abstract Objective:To focus on exploring the value of monitoring the changes of umbilical artery blood flow spectrum for diagnosis of intrauterine growth retardation.Method:52 patients with intrauterine growth retardation who received treatment in our hospital from February 1st,2011 to February 1st, 2014 were chosen as the observation group. At the same time, 52 pregnant women with normal pregnancy were chosen as the control group. The two groups of pregnant women were under the monitoring of color Doppler. The monitoring results of the two groups were compared at last. Result:As the gestational weeks increased, the end diastolic velocity EDV), peak diastolic velocity( PDV), mean flow velocity(MFV) and peak systolic velocity( PSV) of umbilical artery of the two groups showed rising trend. However, the EDV and PDV of the observation group were much lower than that of control group. The resistance index(RI),pulsatility index( PI) and ratio of systolic and diastolic(S/D ratio) of the two groups showed a decreasing trend. The RI,PI and S/D ratio of the observation group were still higher than that of the control group.Changes of umbilical artery hemodynamics of pregnant women in the two groups were significantly different(P<0.05).Conclusion:The early monitoring of changes of umbilical artery blood flow spectrum is helpful to discover the abnormity of umbilical artery blood flow spectrum, which provides reliable basis for the clinical treatment.
