Abstract Objective: To research the efficacy of the deep breath and cough training for the patients with acute myocardial infarction.Method:The clinical data of the 86 patients with acute myocardial infarction who came to our hospital for treatment from April 2013 to April 2014 was collected. Basing on the principle of random number, all the 86 patients were treated by operation and divided into two groups, the observation group and control group,43 patients in each group. The patients in the control group were given regular training while the patients in the observation group were given training of deep breath and cough on the basis of regular training. The cardiac function classification, length of stay, Barther index, ventricular arrhythmias and reoccurrence of myocardial infarction of the two groups of patients were compared. Result:(1)The cardiac function of the patients in observation group improved better than that of control group, which was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)Comparing with the control group, the length of stay of the patients in observation group was shorter with higher Barther index. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)Ventricular arrhythmias and reoccurrence of myocardial infarction of the observation group were respectively 6.98% and 4.65% while that of the control group were respectively 9.30% and 13.95%. There was not too much difference in ventricular arrhythmias between the two groups so it had not statistical significance(P>0.05). Reoccurrence of myocardial infarction of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, which was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Through giving training of deep breath and cough to the patients with acute myocardial infarction, their cardiac function can be improved, reoccurrence of myocardial infarction can be lowered and the ventricular arrhythmias can be controlled. It is worth application and population.
