Abstract Objective：To explore the clinical effect observation on bedside maternal obstetric care model in the implementation.Method：96 cases of single pregnant mothers in our hospital from September 2012 to November 2013 were selected and randomly into observation group and control group ，each group had 48 cases.The control group were given traditional care model，and the observation group were given maternal bedside care model.The maternal satisfaction and neonatal nursing skills to master the rate of two group were compared.Result：96 cases were successfully maternal childbirth， maternal and child health.Observation group and control group patient satisfaction were 95.83% and 85.42%，the difference was statistically significant（ P<0.05）.Touching on neonatal patients in the observation group， master bath ratio， umbilical care and buttocks care grasp rates were 89.58%， 93.75%， 87.50% and 83.33%； control group of patients were 62.50%， 70.83%， 60.41% and 60.42%，patients in observation group of newborn care skills to grasp the situation were significantly better than the control group， the difference of two groups were statistically significant（ P<0.05）.Conclusion：Maternal bedside nursing care model to adapt to changes in the modern mode， can significantly improve patient satisfaction and neonatal nursing skills to master the rate is conducive to clinical use.
