Abstract Objective:To investigate the application of enzyme linked immunosorbent assay and immune colloidal gold technique in the detection of Chlamydia trachomatis.Method:90 patients with Chlamydia trachomatis infection from January 2012 to January 2014 in our hospital were suspected as the object, and all patients were treated by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay, immune colloidal gold technique and cell infection for detection of Chlamydia trachomatis culture, and ELISA results determination and immune colloidal gold technique in cell culture was compared, and the sensitivity was used as the gold standard to calculate two kinds of methods and specificity. Result:Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay and immune colloidal gold technique had no significant difference in positive rate of detection of Chlamydia trachomatis in female patients, and there was no statistical significance( P>0.05),and the positive rate of male patients in the detection of Chlamydia trachomatis had significant difference( P<0.05); and there was no significant differences in two methods in the positive rate of Chlamydia trachomatis detection sensitivity and specificity, and there was no statistical significance( P>0.05). Conclusion:The method of enzymelinked immunosorbent assay and immune colloidal gold technique for detection of Chlamydia trachomatis are a very effective method, but the former for positive rate of the men of Chlamydia trachomatis is obviously higher than the latter, therefore should be based on the actual situation, flexible application.
