Abstract Objective:To research and explore the imaging features and the classification of lateral collateral ligament injury of knee joint with the use of MRI.Method:24 patients with injury of lateral collateral ligament of knee joint were chosen as the objective of study.Their injured areas were scanned with the application of MRI.Then, their imaging features were researched and analyzed. The patients were also given arthroscopy. At last, the diagnosis of MRI was compared with that of arthroscopy. At the same time, the accuracy of MRI diagnosis was calculated.Result:Through MRI,29 pieces of lateral collateral ligament injury of knee joint were detected in the 24 patients., included three conditions, the tibial collateral ligament injuries of 20 pieces, lateral collateral ligament injury of 7 pieces and dual lateral collateral ligament injury of 2 pieces.According to injury of knee lateral collateral ligament injury class, class Ⅰ knee ligament were 16 pieces, class Ⅱ lateral collateral ligament of knee joint injury were 8 pieces, class Ⅲ the ruptured collateral ligament of the knee joint were 5 pieces. With arthroscopy result as the standard, the overall accuracy rate of MRI was 89.7%,3 pieces of ligament fiber breakage misdiagnosed as completely broken. The patients complications were joint effusion of 14 cases, meniscus injury of 4 cases, anterior cruciate ligament injury of 5 cases( 6 pieces), after cruciate ligament injury of 4 cases( 6 pieces), and fracture of 1 case. Conclusion:With good space resolution and high accuracy during the diagnosis of lateral collateral ligament injury of knee joint, MRI should be spread.
