Application of Ultrasonic Elastic Strain Ratio Method and Two-Dimension Ultrasound for Diagnosis of Thyroid Nodules

Abstract  Objective:To evaluate the application value of ultrasonic elastography strain ratio combined with two-dimensional ultrasound in diagnosis of thyroid nodules. Method:Two-dimensional ultrasound and elastic strain ratio elastography examination were both performed in 74 patients with 102 thyroid nodules.The results of ultrasonic diagnosis and pathological results were analyzed.Result:According to the sonographic features of two-dimensional ultrasound, the diagnostic accuracy rate of thyroid nodules was 62.7%. According to the accurate rate of elastic strain ratio in diagnosis of thyroid nodules was 55.9%. Combining the two-dimensional ultrasonographic features of ultrasonic elastic strain rate, the accuracy rate of ultrasonic diagnosis of thyroid nodules was 83.3%, compared with the first two methods were statistically significant( P<0.05).Conclusion:Ultrasound elastic strain ratio combined with two-dimensional ultrasound significantly improves the diagnostic accuracy rate of ultrasound diagnosis of thyroid nodules.
