Abstract Objective：To observe clinical therapeutic effect of the cooperation of Diacerein and Compound Betamethasone Injection in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis， and assess the safety.Method：95 patients with knee osteoarthritis were divided into two groups stochastically. The experimental group of 48 patients was treated with Diacerein combined with Compound Betamethasone Injection， the control group of 47 patients was treated with Glucosamine sulfate capsules combined with Paracetamol Sustained-Release tablets.The two groups apply drugs continuously for 12 weeks，then the curative effect and safety were observed.Result：The experimental and control groups can improve rest pain，pain on 6-minute walking， joint tenderness， joint swelling， joint activity. There were statistically significant difference in short-term and long-term efficacy between the two groups（ P<0.01）.Conclusion：There is effective in treating Knee Osteoarthritis in the two groups.The therapy of combination of Diacerein and Compound Betamethasone Injection has sure effect for treating knee osteoarthritis.
