Abstract The higher rate of deformity after the defect of peripheral nerve， serious influence patient’s quality of life. Short distant defected peripheral nerve can regenerate by repairing and stuturing， but the repairing of long distant nerve defect is a difficult problem in the area of surgery. The article reviewed the repairing method and the animal experimental model and the bridge materia of the peripheral nerve defect， the future study trends was discussed and developed.
