Abstract Objective: To explore the effect of evidence-based nursing model on the degree of disease pain and quality of life in patients with multiple myeloma. Method: A total of 90 patients with multiple myeloma who received treatment in the First Hospital of Putian City from January 2020 to June 2022 were selected as research objects, and were divided into the experimental group and the control group according to random number table method, with 45 patients in each group. The control group was given routine nursing mode, and the experimental group was given evidence-based nursing mode. The degree of bone pain, exercise of self-care agency scale (ESCA)scores, negative psychological emotion and quality of life scores were compared between the two groups before and after intervention. Result: After intervention, the degree of bone pain in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). After intervention, the scores of each dimension of ESCA in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). After intervention, the scores of self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and self-rating depression scale (SDS) in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). After intervention, the scores of each dimension of the MOS 36-item short-form health survey (SF-36) in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Evidence-based nursing model is effective in patients with multiple myeloma, which can effectively reduce the degree of bone pain, strengthen the self-care ability of patients, alleviate negative psychology and improve the quality of life.
