Abstract Objective: To analyze the nursing effect of thunder-fire moxibustion combined with Sihuang Powder plus honey for external application on pelvic inflammatory disease and its influence on life quality. Method: A total of 66 patients with pelvic inflammatory disease admitted to the gynecology department of People's Hospital of Xingguo County from January 2021 to May 2022 were selected and divided into the conventional group and the experimental group according to random number table method. The conventional group (n=33) was treated with routine nursing, and the experimental group (n=33) was treated with thunder-fire moxibustion combined with Sihuang Powder plus honey for external application nursing on the basis of the conventional group. Symptoms relief time, nursing effect, quality of life and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Result: The relief time of hypogastrium pendant expansion, hypogastrium pain and lumbosacral pain in experimental group were shorter than those in conventional group (P<0.05). The total effective rate of experimental group was higher than that of conventional group (P<0.05). The total satisfaction of experimental group (93.94%) was higher than that of conventional group (72.73%) (P<0.05). After treatment, the quality of life scores of both groups were improved, and the quality of life score of experimental group was higher than that of conventional group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Thunder-fire moxibustion combined with Sihuang Powder plus honey for external application applied in the nursing of patients with pelvic inflammatory disease can promote the rapid recovery of patients, the nursing effect is remarkable, is conducive to improving the quality of life of patients, nursing satisfaction is high.
