Abstract Objective:To investigate the association between serum lipocalin-2 and the pathogenesis of preeclampsia.Method:82 pregnant women with preeclampsia admitted to our hospital from January 2012 to January 2014 were selected as research objects, and they were divided into the mild preeclampsia group for 32 cases and the severe preeclampsia group for 50 cases according to the severity of the disease,in the same period,30 pregnant women were selected as the control group. The serum lipocalin-2 and endothelin level were detected in the above three groups.Result:The serum lipocalin-2 level in the severe preeclampsia group was( 73.98±15.68)ng/mL,which was significantly higher than( 52.01±13.26)ng/mL of the mild preeclampsia group, all of them were significantly higher than( 23.11±7.27)ng/mL in the control group. The endothelin levels in the two groups were significantly higher than the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Mild and severe preeclampsia were positively related to the serum lipocalin-2 and endothelin level(r=0.587,P<0.05;r=0.417,P<0.05),the serum lipocalin-2 and endothelin level of the control group were not related(r=0.178,P>0.05). Conclusion:Serum lipocalin-2 in maternal with preeclampsia is associated with the pathogenesis of preeclampsia, and increased with the severity of illness.
