Abstract Objective：To analyze the clinical effect of laparoscopic resection of anal sphincter（ISR） in the anus preserving operation（SSO） of ultra-low rectal cancer.Method：80 patients were selected from our hospital admissions of ultralow SSO as the research objection which were randomly divided into two groups，40 cases in each.In control group underwent the implementation of open processing，and study group underwent laparoscopic ISR treatment，the operative time，amount of bleeding，hospitalization time，complications were observed and recorded.Result：The operative time，intraoperative bleeding，hospitalization time and complication rate of the study group were significantly better than those of the control group，the differences were statistical significance（P<0.05）.Conclusion：The laparoscopic ISR treatment for ultra-low rectal cancer patients can achieve good results，less time-consuming，less bleeding，less hospitalization time and the incidence of complications is low，it is worth to learn from.
