| The Application Effect of Compound Tropicamide in Mydriatic Optometry of Children with Myopia |

Abstract Objective：To study the effect of the applying of compound tropicamide eye drops in refractive inspection of children with myopia.Method：56 cases（112 eyes）myopia children aged from 7 to 17 years were grouped as group 7-12 years and 13-18 years.The refractive capacity of the eye was examined with a computer and a retinoscopy by skilled optometrist before and after mydriasis. The differences of the values of spherical equivalence（SE）before and after mydriasis were analyzed with SPSS 17.0 in every group.Result：There were no significant differences in the values of SE before and after mydriasis in each group（P>0.05）.Conclusion：Compound tropicamide eye drops is a cycloplegic agent.But its effects are limited for children with different age.
