Abstract Objective：To investigate the application of hydrocolloid dressings in the neonatal noninvasive assisted ventilation.Method：A total of 200 newborns with noninvasive assisted ventilation admitted to our hospital from February 2011 to February 2014 were selected as research objects，they were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method，100 cases in each group.The control group was given conventional methods for treatment，the observation group was given hydrocolloid dressings on the basis of the control group.The ventilation effect，treatment compliance，skin damage of the children and the parents’ satisfaction with ventilation therapy between the two groups were compared.Result：After treatment，the ventilation treatment total effective of the observation group was 97.0%，which was significantly higher than 84.0% of the control group，the excellent rate of treatment compliance in the observation group was 88.0%，which was significantly higher than 70.0% in the control group，the incidence of skin damage in the observation group was 2.0%，which was significantly lower than 16.0% in the control group，the parents’ satisfaction with ventilation therapy of the observation group was 98.0%，which was significantly higher than 70.0% of the control group，the differences were statistically significant（P<0.05）.Conclusion：The application effect of hydrocolloid dressings in neonatal noninvasive assisted ventilation is significant，is worthy of promotion and application in clinical research and treatment
