Effect of Roxadustat Capsules in the Treatment of Renal Anemia in Maintenance Hemodialysis Patients and Its Influence on Biochemical Indexes |

Abstract Objective: To investigate the effect of Roxadustat Capsules in the treatment of renal anemia in maintenance hemodialysis patients and its influence on biochemical indexes. Method: A total of 120 patients with renal anemia in maintenance hemodialysis who were admitted to People's Hospital of Yangjiang from July 2021 to March 2022 were divided into a control group and a treatment group according to the random number table method, with 60 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Recombinant Human Erythropoietin Injection, and the treatment group was treated with Roxadustat Capsules. The effective rate, hemoglobin (Hb), red blood cell count (RBC), hematocrit (HCT), iron metabolism indexes [serum iron (SI), transferrin (TRF) and transferrin saturation (TS)] and mean arterial pressure (MAP) before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Result: After 1 month and 3, 6 months of treatment, the effective rates in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Before treatment, there were no significant differences in Hb, RBC, HCT, iron metabolism indexes and MAP levels between the two groups (P>0.05). After 1 month and 3, 6 months of treatment, the Hb, RBC, HCT and iron metabolism indexes in the treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05), but there was no statistical difference between the two groups in MAP (P>0.05). Conclusion: Roxadustat Capsules is effective in the treatment of renal anemia in maintenance hemodialysis patients, and it is helpful to improve the biochemical indexes of patients, so it has high clinical application value.
