Application Effect of Xiaoer Feireqing Granules in Children with Bronchial Pneumonia |

Abstract Objective: To explore the application effect of Xiaoer Feireqing Granules in children with bronchial pneumonia. Method: A total of 82 children who were diagnosed with bronchial pneumonia in Jiangxi Provincial Children' s Hospital from May 2020 to May 2022 were selected, they were divided into observation group 41 cases and control group 41 cases according to the random number table method. The control group was treated with Ambroxol Hydrochloride and Clenbuterol Hydrochloride, and the observation group was treated with Xiaoer Feireqing Granules based on the control group. The therapeutic effect, duration of clinical symptoms and length of hospital stay were compared between the two groups; the level of T lymphocyte subsets, serum inflammatory markers before and after treatment and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Result: The total effective rate in the observation group was 97.56%, which was higher than 80.49% in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P=0.034). The disappearance time of cough and lung rales in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in the disappearance time of sputum, fever and hospital stay between the two groups (P>0.05). After treatment, CD4+ and CD8+ in both groups were higher than those before treatment, those in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, CD4+/CD8+ in the observation group was higher than that before treatment, that in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). After treatment, hypersensitive C reactive protein (hs-CRP), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and serum interleukin-8 (IL-8) in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and hs-CRP and TNF-α in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions in observation group was 0.00%, which was lower than 7.32% in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). Conclusion: Xiaoer Feireqing Granules has good clinical effect in the treatment of children with bronchial pneumonia, can enhance the immune function of children and reduce the level of inflammatory factors, without increasing adverse reactions.
