Effect of Hysteroscopic Surgery Combined with Desogestrel and Ethinylestradiol Tablets in the Treatment of Endometrial Polyps |

Abstract Objective: To investigate the effect of hysteroscopic surgery combined with Desogestrel and Ethinylestradiol Tablets in the treatment of endometrial polyps (EMP). Method: A total of 70 patients with EMP who were admitted to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Jiangbin Hospital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region from February 2017 to February 2021 were selected as the research subjects and divided into an observation group (n=35) and a control group (n=35) according to the random number table method. The control group was treated with hysteroscopic transcervical resection of polyps (TCRP), and the observation group was treated with Desogestrel and Ethinylestradiol Tablets for three courses after operation. Menstrual flow, endometrial thickness, serum sex hormone levels and follow-up were observed and compared between the two groups. Result: 6, 12 months after surgery, the menstrual flow in both groups decreased compared with that before treatment, and the observation group were less than those in the control group (P<0.05). 6, 12 months after surgery, the endometrial thickness in the observation group were less than those in the control group (P<0.05). The levels of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), progesterone (P) and estradiol (E2) in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The recurrence rate in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Hysteroscopic TCRP combined with Desogestrel and Ethinylestradiol Tablets in the treatment of patients with EMP can effectively control menstrual flow and endometrial thickness, reduce serum sex hormone levels, and effectively reduce the recurrence of EMP.
