Abstract Objective: To investigate the influencing factors of sepsis in patients with renal calculi after percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL). Method: A total of 200 patients with renal calculi who received PCNL in Tongren People's Hospital from January 2019 to March 2022 were selected, 35 patients with renal calculi who developed sepsis after PCNL surgery were included in the occurrence group, and 165 patients with renal calculi who did not develop sepsis after PCNL surgery were included in the occurrence group. Univariate analysis was performed according to the clinical data of patients, and the items with statistical differences were included in logistic regression analysis to obtain the high risk factors of sepsis after PCNL in patients with renal calculi. Result: Univariate analysis showed that there were significant differences in gender, operation time, stone number, mean stone diameter, preoperative urine routine and diabetes mellitus between the two groups (P<0.05). There were no significant differences in age, preoperative blood routine and stone location between the two groups (P>0.05). logistic regression analysis showed that female patients, long operation time, large number of stones, large mean stone diameter, positive preoperative urine routine, and diabetes mellitus were the risk factors for postoperative sepsis in patients with renal calculi after PCNL (P<0.05). Conclusion: Sepsis in patients with renal calculi after PCNL is related to female patients, long operation time, large number of stones, large diameter of stones, positive urine routine before operation and complicated with diabetes, which should be paid more attention in clinic.
