Abstract Objective：To observe the clinical curative effect of combined traditional Chinese and Westernmedicine in treatment of wet age-related macular degeneration. Method：From January 2013 to January 2014 in ourdepartment，70 cases of wet age-related macular degeneration were selected.According to the completely random table，the patients were divided into combined group and control group，35 cases in each group.The control group were treatedwith single western medicine treatment， the control group were treated with traditional Chinese Medicine treatmentfoundation， the treatment effect of the two groups were compared after 2 months treatment. Result： The markedlyeffective， improved and invalid patients in combined group were 22 cases（ 62.9%）， 12 cases（ 34.3%） and 1 cases（2.8%）， the total effective rate was 97.2%； markedly effective， improved and ineffective patients in the control groupwere 18 case（ 51.40%）， 10 cases（ 28.6%） and in 7 cases（ 20%）， the total efficiency was 80%. Combined treatmentwas better than that in control group， there was significant difference between the groups（P<0.05）.Conclusion：Combining traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatment of age related macular degeneration of wet significantly，can significantly improve the treatment effect of the patients， promote significantly improve outcome quality， can be widely
