Abstract Objective: To investigate the risk factors of mood disorders in patients undergoing thoracolumbar compression fracture surgery. Method: A total of 96 patients with thoracolumbar compression fracture admitted to Leping Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2020 to August 2022 were selected to evaluate the emotional disorders of all patients. According to the results, the patients were divided into the occurrence group and the non-occurrence group. The baseline data questionnaire was designed, and the baseline data of the two groups were statistically analyzed and compared. The risk factors of mood disorders in patients undergoing thoracolumbar compression fracture surgery were analyzed. Result: Among the 96 patients with thoracolumbar compression fracture, there were 16 patients with emotional disorder, accounting for 16.67% (16/96). The age of the occurrence group was older than that of the non-occurrence group, the proportion of low social support and self-efficacy in the occurrence group were higher than those in the non-occurrence group, and the proportion of junior high school education or below was higher than that in the non-occurrence group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There were no statistically significant differences in other data between the two groups (P>0.05). By regression analysis, the results showed that older age, low social support, low education level and low self-efficacy were risk factors for postoperative mood disorders in patients with thoracolumbar compression fracture (OR>1, P<0.05). Conclusion: Patients undergoing thoracolumbar compression fracture surgery have a higher risk of mood disorders. Older age, low social support, low education level and low self-efficacy are all risk factors for mood disorders in patients undergoing thoracolumbar compression fracture surgery.
