Abstract Objective: To investigate the application effect of Fuzheng Qiangdu moxibustion in patients with postmenopausal osteoporosis (PMOP). Method: A total of 68 patients with PMOP treated in the Osteoporosis Clinic and Pain Clinic of Mindong Hospital of Ningde City from June 2021 to June 2022 were selected and divided into experimental group (n=34) and control group (n=34) according to random number table method. The control group was treated with modern medical routine nursing intervention, and the experimental group was treated with Fuzheng Qiangdu moxibustion intervention on the basis of the control group, all of which were treated for 1 month. Gonadal hormone, bone metabolism indexes and TCM symptoms scores were observed between the two groups before and after intervention. Result: After 1 month of intervention, serum estradiol (E2) level of experimental group was higher than that of control group, and the levels of serum follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), osteoprotegerin (OPG), C-terminal peptide of type Ⅰ collagen (CTX-Ⅰ) and bone alkaline phosphatase (BALP), and the scores of lumbago and back pain, lumbago and knee weakness, lower limb tics, walking difficulty and difficulty in carrying weight were lower than those of control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: Fuzheng Qiangdu moxibustion intervention can effectively regulate the level of Gonadal hormone in PMOP patients, correct the abnormal bone metabolism, promote the balance between bone formation and bone resorption, and alleviate the clinical symptoms of patients.
