Abstract Objective： To analyze the serum progesterone testing and adjustment in the value of clinical diagnosis and treatment of ectopic pregnancy. Method： 80 cases of ectopic pregnancy were selected from January 2012 to June 2014 and randomly divided into the experimental group and control group，40 cases in each group，at the same time 40 cases of normal pregnancy were selected as the normal group.The control group was treated with serum β-HCG detection and analysis and guided further treatment，the experimental group was detection and analysis on the basis of combined progesterone and guided subsequent treatment work. Two groups diagnostic accuracy，diagnostic time and the treatment outcome were compared， the test results of experimental group and normal group were compared.Result： The patients with ectopic pregnancy progesterone average detection level were（ 3.49±1.02）ng/mL，significantly lower than normal pregnancy progesterone levels，the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）. Accurately diagnosed the experimental group was 97.5%，significantly higher than control group； the time of diagnosis（ 24.92±2.08）d，shorter than the control group，the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）.After treatment the mean progesterone levels in the experimental group was（ 7.98±1.28）ng/mL，better than before treatment，the difference was statistically significant（ P<0.05）.After treatment，the experimental treatment group blood β-hCG was（ 2616.12±52.81）IU/L，better than the control group；repeating the treatment rate was lower than in the control group，pregnancy and bleeding mass diameter was less than the control group，the differences were statistically significant（P<0.05）.Experimental group were very satisfied with the clinical services in 28 cases，12 cases of satisfaction，overall satisfaction，100% higher than the control group， the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）.Conclusion： Conventional testing methods combined progesterone analysis helps to quickly and accurately detect and diagnose an ectopic pregnancy carry out active and effective treatment，gets satisfactory clinical results.
