Abstract Objective:To investigate the change of plasma osteopontin( OPN) level before and after treatment in cervical cancer patients and in cervical cancer recurrence.Method:The plasma OPN levels of 238 cervical cancer patients before and after treatment were measured by ELISA and followed for up to 5 years. The relations of between plasma OPN level and clinical variables, recurrence were analyzed.Result:Plasma OPN levels was associated with differentiation degree and metastasis in patients with stage Ⅰb-Ⅱa cervical cancer(P<0.05)and not associated with age, clinical stage and pathological type(P>0.05). Plasma OPN expression level decreased obviously after treatment(P<0.05).When cervical cancer recurrence plasma OPN level was significantly higher than without recurrence(P<0.05).Conclusion:The evaluation of plasma level of OPN may be helpful to predict the recurrence of cervical cancer patients in advance.
