Abstract Objective:To probe into the perioperative use of antibiotics for patients undergoing type I incisionoperations in the hospital in which there was clinical pharmacists involvement,analyze the effect and outcome of clinicalpharmacists intervention on rational use of antibiotics.Method:Totally surgical records of patients undergoing type Iincision operations from January 2013 to June 2013 collected before intervention and another surgical records duringJanuary 2014 to June 2014 collected after intervention were compared regarding the use of antibiotics and analyzedregarding the rationality of antibiotic use.Result: After clinical pharmacists intervention on perioperative use of antibiotics,the antibiotic used was more rational in drug choice,time and duration of drug use, dosage and administration etc.Conclusion:Clinical pharmacists intervention on perioperative use of antibiotics in patients undergoing type I incisionoperations was proved to be effective and it significantly strengthened rational use of antibiotics with remarkable efficacyachieved.
