Abstract The incidence of brain metastases is exceedingly rare in pediatric patients. The prognosis of pediatric brain metastases is poor and the most common tumors that develop brain metastases include leukemia, lymphoma, Ewing’s sarcoma,etc. There are rare case reports on other much less common tumors,inculding malignant germ cell tumors,melanoma, malignant rhabdoid tumor of the kidney,etc.This article reviews recent domestic and international research of the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of the rare pediatric brain metastases.
