Abstract Objective： To investigate the risk management in low birth weight children intravenous catheter care in the use. Method： First we chose our hospital NICU 480 low birth weight children， who were divided into two groups.With conventional treatments as well as risk management， we compared and analyzed the incidence of complications in the case of the two care methods. Result： Compared two fluid extravasation of low birth weight children， phlebitis，infection and the occurrence of skin induration， the risk management significantly reduced the risk of incidence（ P<0.05）. Conclusion： Risk Management Act in low birth weight children intravenous catheter care process is very important，which can reduce the incidence of complications， and strengthen risk management to ensure the safety of low birth weight children infusion skin plays a decisive role.
