Abstract Objective: To study repeated urinary tract infection among long-term inpatients of disabled soldiers caused by E.coli and drug resistance of the bacterium. Method: A retrospective investigation was carried out. The E.coli isolated with routine method from urine specimens was analyzed, whose susceptibility to antimicrobial agents was tested. Whonet5.4 and Excel were used to deal with the data. Result: Urinary specimens of long-term urinary tract infection inpatients of disabled soldiers were cultured, 1214 Strains of bacteria(no-repeated strains)were obtained, including 384 E.coli( accounting to 31.63%). Repeated infection occurred among some patients, which was especially resistant to antibiotics. Conclusion: Bacteria culture should be carried out to treat the long-term inpatient of disabled soldiers with urinary tract infection, so as to give an instruction to rational use of antibiotics.
