Abstract Objective:To study the value of ultrasonic elasticity imaging techniques in assessment of the artery wall elasticity of patients with type 2 diabetes(T2DM).Method:The carotid, brachial artery elastic function parameters of 40 patients with T2DM were detected by ultrasound elasticity imaging technique. At the same time, 40 cases of outpatient health physical examination were selected as control group. The carotid, brachial artery elastic function parameters of two groups were compared, and analyzed the correlation of the blood sugar, thickness of IMT and carotid, brachial artery B/A. Result:The carotid artery B/A and brachial artery B/A1 in patients with T2DM group were significantly higher than that of control group(P<0.05).The carotid B/A had a positive correlation with thickness of IMT(r=0.574,P<0.05), the thickness of the carotid IMT had a positively correlation with blood sugar levels( r=0.612,P<0.05),and the brachial artery B/A1 had a positive correlation with blood glucose levels(r=0.548,P<0.05).Conclusion:The ultrasound elasticity imaging techniques can rapid and effective evaluation early changes in the artery wall elasticity of patients with
T2DM.
